Each week Operation 513 holds an evangelistic Skypecast to spread the seeds of the gospel to people all across the world. A Skypecast is a free feature within Skype that allows anyone to join or create a Skypecast. Within a Skypecast people can talk using their microphones, or just simply listen to others. The advantage of creating a Skypecast is that you can have control over who can speak and who cannot. So we use this means to talk about the important things in life, such as what happens after they die, the consequences of their sin, and the wonderful news of the gospel. We also encourage people if they have any questions or objections to join in on the conversation.
This is such a great tool for worldwide evangelism, because we are even having people listen who are in countries that are closed from the gospel. For example, one Skypecast we discovered that of the 480 people who listened during the course of the night, they were from at least 41 different countries, of which 15 of them were closed countries (such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc.).
We hold the Skypecast each week on Sunday night 9pm - 12am GMT+10 (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Please check what timezone you are in and adjust the time accordingly. The time in our timezone (AEST) is currently: Thursday, 24 July 2008, 11:42 AM
If you cannot make the Skypecast, you can read the weekly reports to hear how it went.
