The 7th Commandment: "You shall not commit adultery" - But look at what Jesus said: "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:27-28)
So have you ever looked upon someone with sexual desire? We might excuse ourselves from the sin of adultery just because we left the physical act undone. However, God sees the unholy imaginations in our hearts the same as the outward act. How many of us can claim perfection in keeping this law?
