“For there is no one so great or mighty that he can avoid the misery that will rise up against him when he resists and strives against God” - John Calvin
Today, I was detained from evangelism momentarily by the instruction of my master: Jesus Christ. His wisdom was to send christians two at a time to a city to preach his message. I see the wisdom of this:
1) Christian A, can turn the other cheek when assaulted for the gospel's sake, but Christian B can defend his body and life.
2) Christian B, stands as a witness to the character, integrity and message of Christian A.
3) Christian B, serves as an encouragment and correcter to Christian A, when neccesary.
I waited from 1PM till 3PM, for someone to arrive, and Glen Dibben pastor of Australian and Filipino Bible Baptist Church, drove all the way from Caboolture to assist me as a second man. At 3PM I was able to stand up and declare the word of God. Five minutes in, I was dialoging with a nice lady seated across from me. At the tenth minute, two police officers had entered the fray, and commanded me to walk to the police station.
I was told inside, that people had made complaints against my preaching, that I had offended them. I was stunned since I had been there only ten minutes. I was ordered to leave the Cavill Ave business district for twelve hours, and not return until the end of that period, on threat of arrest for violating a police directive if I did not comply. I was not show the complaint.
A statement will be released shortly, but I pray you will beseech God that things change in Queensland, so the gospel is not hindered. We will be taking this to the C.M.C.
What shall become of those, who attempt to get between God and his elect whom he is reaching through the proclamation of the gospel? What shall thier experience be in this life, what shall there end be at the judgement seat of God, post-death? Something to consider.
