Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Dec 2, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
It was another day of grace to serve God without the usual team support by Johnny as he is still away on a family leisure trip. Instead, God moved Andrew to keep joining me at Sunnybank. We formed great teamwork by taking different strategic positions. Andrew stationed at the foot of the pedestrian bridge where he can get longer conversations. I take position at the bus stop with more chances to share but are of short conversation because of the frequent arrival of buses. Some people took a tract from Andrew but did not stop yet coming directly to the bus stop. I can then target them especially those who were moved to read the tract immediately at the bus stop. Another thanks giving point was that there was shade and good breeze on the eastern side of the foot bridge despite weather forecast projected a higher temperature over 35c. Recap below are the 10 divine appointments I had today.
1)Mr Fong æ–¹ whom I met frequently here at Sunnybank, but I never was told he is a Christian as my question for him about salvation shows he was alost ignorance about salvation. But today I greeted him and care about the scar line on his head caused by a open head operation. I induced him to think about eternal life issue as temporal life is vulnerable. å‹•é 手術, æ›´ç惜生命
Then he told me he is a Christian of a very prominent denomination in HKG (The Evangelical church of HKG香港æ’铿œƒ),He had to attend a medical appointment so I had to let him go and pray for next time to strengthen his faith.
2)倚綺 Ekky is a Malaysian Chinese é¦¬è¯ from KL. She could speak 5 language including Cantonese, so we can have a very stress free chat in our own local dialect. she has no faith and seemingly first time hearing the gospel. But she found it sensible and logical. She did not rush to leave even when her bus arrived and let me continue to do my wrap up. As a result, I had more time to share with her and hopefully, God will move her to take her first step of faith in no time.
3) Then I was rejected by an old and young man which was also within our prayer that may the Spirit lead us to waste no time on those who overtly reject the Gospel.
4) Then I shared with Ah Lin é˜¿ç³ from Hong Kong 香港. So again I can speak in my mother tongue. She showed no obvious sense of rejection of the Gospel despite she very soon indicated she is a Buddhist. 佛教徒. The bus came very quickly 車到太快, so I only managed to share her the nutshell of the Gospel.
5) Then came two young man å…©é’年,one of them took a tract from Andrew . So I hook up with him and volunteer to discuss the tract with him. He showed genuine willingness to listen but the arrival of the bus cut short this divine appointement.願æ„è½ä½†è»Šå¾ˆå¿«ä¾¿åˆ°äº†. Trust God may have His follow up work.
6) Lee, possibly from Taiwan was polite when I approached him. But again there was not enough time to share as his bus came very quickly. Pray that God has His follow up work.
7) Rebecca is from Eastern Malaysia. She has no faith but show interest to listen. Again just have limited time to touch on the nutshell of the Gospel.
8) Stephen has an Indian look but he has a Filipino Mum and an Aussie Dad of Christian Family ground. But he doesn't go to church any more hope being discouraged by below par Christian witness. At the end, he joyously decided he should attend church again. It is a new start for him.
9) An UQ student Zhang 張,from æ±åŒ— China ,He said some OPN 513 guy talked to him at King George Square. I went through the gospel message with him again and introduced him to join Power to Change.
10) Finally John a big guy but behaved politely. He listened to my gospel sharing with patience, but at the end he told me he was once Christian now Muslim. It was a pity I did not have any more time to clarify the reason of the switch and bring him back to the core message of the Gospel.
Battle Log by Andrew
On Wednesday at Sunnybank, there were a couple of great conversations where people grasped the gospel.
A pair of 17 year old young guys who attend a Christian school stopped to chat. They knew a lot about the gospel but were very unsure why God should let them into heaven. I took them through the law and was just starting to go through the gospel when their bus came, but both took tracts and thanked me for stopping them.
Declan called himself a Christian but when I asked about what would get him to heaven, he appealed to his own good works. I ran him through the gospel at length and eventually shared that I was very concerned that he was not saved because he was trusting in the wrong thing to save him. He admitted that even though he used the label, he was not a “good Christian” and had not been to church in a long time and no longer owned a Bible. I was able to provide him a Bible from the Bible Society Australiaand also pointed him to a good church.
Francis was raised a bit religious but admitted he was pretty sceptical about it all. We talked through how we know that God exists and then through the gospel at length. After I took him through the law, he agreed that we are all not good enough to get to heaven. I shared what Jesus had done and about how he calls us to surrender to his rule. He seemed to grasp the gospel well and said that he now had a lot to consider.
Please pray for these guys and the many more who received tracts.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Nov 25, 2020 from 1300 -1500
It was an eventful day but also full of wonder and grace. Johnny initially planned to come a bit later but he got a flat tyres on his way to Sunnybank. So I was left alone but God was good to send Andrew to come to partner with me at the Wes side of the foot bridge. It was a very good partnership, starting with a good opening prayer and later on rendering mutual support including the photo shooting.
Today I had a very smooth day, apart from a very first rude rejection by a mainlander woman, all my subsequence approach are friendly, receptive and fruitful proven by three selfies with my three gospel target. ONe of these were a couples who are a known friend of my brother -in -law and heard of my existence in Brisbane as a pastor. So all encounters were really a divine appointment with God's hidden purpose behind.
Here are the recap of my
1) Madam Wong from Guangzhou 廣州 knows Hk very well. I wasted some time to serve as ice breaker and was only able to share the nutshell of the Gospel to her before the bus came.
2) Elle a young lady from Beijing doing UQ study. She was very polite and receptive and listen to the gospel with full attention and great interest. She did not even want to get on the bus that had arrived only after I asked her if her bus had arrived. Certainly, I could see and feel a ripe soil for the gospel to bear fruit in here heart.
3) Tony and Sinfonia look like Chinese from Indonesia. But I overheard them speaking Cantonese so I approached them and found they are also from Hong Kong. They seems to be religious and showed receptive attitude to the Gospel. So I asked if they followed any religion and they said yes and is a Japanese kind of Taoism called 天ç†æ•™. This is the religion of my brother-in-law who became a pious follower after this Japanese faith organization offered him a scholarship to study Japanese in Nagoya. The couples responded with great astonishment that they are good friend of Perry my brother-in-law. With this miraculous encounter, I wasted no time to share the gospel before the bis arrived. Let's pray if God will give me another divine encounter with this couples in the near future or perhaps in the next visit of Perry to Brisbane.
4) Eric a UQ student from Taiwan who was very receptive to the Gospel. I referred him to Power to Change no matter if he may wish to accept Christ now or not.
5) An Aussie Mum Cherry also appeared very friendly. It was a pity my sharing was cut short by the timely arrival of the bus.
6) Mr Li æŽ from mainland China. But he exceptionally taking the initiative to pull me aside to let me share the gospel to him. He admitted the message is very sensible, logical and convincing but I let him make his decision at his private time. I also referred him to join "Power to change. I met him a bit later when he finished his errand and wait for the returning bus. I took his photo there.
7) An old lady from Hongkong who showed half heart at the gospel message. She came to Australia around 80. Pray that God keeps giving her divine encounter before she run out of time.
8) Keane another genuine abc whose parents are from Taiwan. He has Christian back ground and know all Ins and Outs about Christianity. He agreed with the gospel I shared just falling short to let the seed to grow and budding.
9) Nelson an Sri Lanka man who appeared very polite and was positive to gospel. It was a pity the divine encounter was cut short by the bus but I am sure God's work on him will not be in vain.
Battle Log of Andrew:
On Wednesday at Sunnybank, I initially found the afternoon discouraging, as many people I tried to speak to would not stay and talk, however, as the afternoon progressed, there were two brilliant conversations that left me rejoicing!
One young man whose English was very poor used Google Translate's image software to translate the tract so that he could read it!
Jackson was the only decent conversation of the earlier part of the afternoon. He was not religious at all but listened really well as I shared the message of the gospel with him.
Emily is 20 years old and is here from China studying nursing. She had heard of some Christian ideas before and said that her housemate has a Bible, but did not really know much about what Christians believe at all. She listened very carefully as we talked through the gospel at length and grasped clearly what the Bible says about our eternity. She understood that we are not good according to God’s standard and that Jesus died for sinners like us. The expression on her face as I shared what Jesus had done indicated that this was impacting her deeply. She thanked me for taking the time to share the gospel with her and gladly took a couple of different tracts.
When I asked Carla about where she would go when she died, she said she would go to heaven and that she was a Christian. She joked that she didn’t look like one because her arms, legs and even neck were covered in tattoos! She was going to keep walking, but I asked her a follow up question or two and it quickly became obvious to both of us that there were some really big gaps in her understanding. While she knew many facts about Christianity, her trust seemed to be primarily in her self-identification as a Christian. I stepped through the gospel and she had no issue identifying herself as a sinner but then as we talked through how Jesus’ death on the cross saves us, she seemed to grasp the message. We then talked about how receiving the gift of forgiveness means that we must be willing to surrender rule of our life and place our trust not in our good works or religious activities, but only in the finished work of Jesus. I asked her again where she would go if she died today, and she admitted that she had not understood and that to this point, she had not surrendered and placed her trust in Jesus. I pleaded with her to consider the urgency of being made right with God and she said that this was something that she desperately needed to do. She allowed me to take a selfie with her and told her that I would use it to encourage people to pray for her, so please do pray for her to surrender to Jesus!
Pray for Carla, Emily, Jackson and the many others who heard part of the message or received tracts.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Nov 18, 2020 from 1300 -1500
Thanks God for a fine sunny day good for street evangelism. We had Johnny, Andrew and Hung turning up to serve. To me, it started good meeting again with two Pakistanis Muslim Tafe students by the name Shani and Muneeb whom we met two weeks ago. They were serious Muslim but with an opened mind to discuss. It was a pity they were in a hurry to meet their father but promised to come back next week.
Then I had my second divine appointment for today with Kitty who is from TianJin 天津, China. She was at the bus stop sitting on the bench. I initially wanted to approach two high school students but they were busy with their iphone. And Kitty virtually looked up at me. I felt the urge to switch talking to her first. She is rare species of Mainlander that does not avoid chatting with me with a Chinese face. She even invited me to sit down to chat with her rather than standing. She claimed she had received tracts before and possibly chatted with someone else. I asked if she found the message of the tract sensible and logical and what was her response. She got to the point that: yes, she admitted the tract let her see she as well as every one in this world, though called a good person, but all have committed varieties of sin not pleasing to God. Then I asked did she know how to have our sin forgiven. She knew it was through Jesus' sacrificial death to pay for the debt of our sin. But she is not sure if she deserves the grace of Jesus to save her as a sinner. At this point ,her boy friend turned up, checking out what was happening and trying to drag her away from the conversation. But she refused to stop our conversation, so her boy friend was forced to listen by her side. I could feel that she was wide open to receive Christ but then the bus came. I trust God will continue on leading her to the final decision of accepting Jesus as her Savior and Lord of life.
My overall condition to day was not good with body itchiness and swollen limb getting worse because of the side effect of the Psoriasis medication. Dried mouth and frequent toilet needs all posed great interruption to my normal street evangelism. It finally was cut short when I found my Credit card was not in my wallet when I stopped for a while to do shopping. I had to call for the day to rush home to check if I did lose it. Thanks God finally I found the card in one of my vest pocket so I did not have to go through yet another round of reporting lost for replacement which had happened once just two months ago.
Both Andrew and Johnny had many good long conversation with fruit bearing results.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Nov 11, 2020 from 1300 -1500
Today I was supposed to go solo as Johnny had to stay at home for Termite treatment. I struggled for a short moment if I should still go by myself. God was gracious enough to move Andrew to come without my pre-knowledge. So we still could start our ministry as a team in prayer. I went over to the west side of the foot bridge to join Andrew for mutual back up and support. God made us work non-stop. I got 8 divine appointments amongst which the one with The Sibling form Hong Kong was most inspiring and movement because of our empathy as the Hong Kongers going through the toughness moment in the history of Hong Kong.
1) I started first while Andrew went to fill out his drinking bottle. Hence when he joined me, he took photo for me with the Hindu couples. The man claimed to have Christian family background but obviously had forsaken his faith in Christ. He was very arrogant to dismiss the significant of Jesus salvation, but the lady was more polite and actually willing to listen. But I could only manged to utter the key nutshell of Gospel before the husband dragged his wife away.
2) Then I left Andrew at the footbridge and walked over to the bus stop where I found only one Chinese sitting there. He was not interested and virtually refused to hear the gospel but I still had managed to have a chat bringing in all the elements of the gospel until he reached the limit of his patience to ask me talk to somebody else.
3)I did find a Korean girl besides me and she appeared very receptive to the gospel. I was able to finish sharing just in time before the bus arrived.
4) Then came a Malaysian Chinese é¦¬è¯ girl Chai Chin彩ç´ï¼Œshe was very polite, and appeared very receptive æŽ¥ç´ to the gospel.
5) Then I moved back to the footbridge and met another Korean girl by the name pf Ishin. She is doing working holiday here and quickly claimed herself a Christian. She has almost 100% assurance of salvation but the reason was a bit blurred not pointing to Jesus directly but mentioning other good deeds like attending church. After clarification, she was happy to assured that now her concept of salvation is very clear now.
6) Then I met up with a middle aged Chinese woman by the name Hu胡大媽 from Chinaä¸åœ‹ï¼ŒShe was willing to listen 願è½
so I walked with her to the bus stop. I was lucky to waste no time but shared her the full gospel first before the bus arrived.
7) Then Ben and Emily who are sibling and are student of QUT & UQ respectively from Hong Kong. I spent no time to find out our common root and it helped them to associate with me as Hong Kongers. I was able to use the dark power now ruling ove Hong Kong and USA to demonstrate the need for all people to seek light to expel the darkness in our life. And Jesus is the only means ad avenue for us to leave the darkness of sin into the brightness of our faith in Jesus. They were happy to take selfie group photo with me to commemorate our encounter by the divine appointment.
8 ) Lina from Goodna who is a Mormon. But she claimed she believed and accept Jesus as God and as her Saviour though she only have 70% of assurance of salvation. I took the chance to supplement teaching about the three fold salvation as such our certainty of identity changed because of the redemptive work of Jesus will be guarantee despite our temporal life have not yet been transformed back to perfection. So the temporary imperfection will not affect our assurance of being saved by Jesus. God anyhow have guaranteed to make us perfect one day before the New Heaven and New Earth come.
Recap below is the battle log of Andrew Walkington
Yesterday in Sunnybank there were a few great conversations and at least 2 young men seemed to really grasp the gospel for the first time.
Danny has a Christian upbringing but as I dug into what he believed, it was clear that his hope was in good works to make him right with God. He tries to live a very moral life and hoped that he would be ok when he stood before God. I showed him that even as moral as he had tried to be, he would never be perfect and that his relative goodness could not save him. I then walked him through what Jesus did on the cross and why this changes everything. He came to understand that his trust needs to be not in himself but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and he stated that this is now where his hope lies.
I then spoke with a very proud man who gave a convoluted label for his beliefs that had something to do with messianic understandings of Judaism, though he wasn’t Jewish at all. He talked and talked about how most people miss the meanings of the texts and how the church has it wrong. He denied hell, denied that God is angry with people and argued that we are all God’s children. When I read several passages to him about how we are enemies of God in our natural state he argued that this was just my interpretation. He then started arguing that our judgement is only going to be based on the quality of our works and brought up the story of the widow’s offering as an example, which happened to be the very passage I preached this past Sunday! I pleaded with him to study Ephesians 2 and Romans 1-8. He thanked me for chatting and said he would read Ephesians 2 that night.
Harris is 17 and from a non-religious home. He had gone to church a bit as a kid and said straight up that he believes in God, Jesus, heaven and hell. When I asked him about the afterlife, he really hoped that he was good enough for heaven and had not understood the cross at all. I shared the gospel with him carefully to show him that we will never be good enough and that what we need is a saviour who will die in our place. He then asked a heap of really great questions about why we should be good if our goodness can’t save us and I was able to clearly explain how our repentance is a heart desire to turn from our rebellion, not the quality of our works. He ended up clearly understanding salvation and took a gospel of John to read.
Please pray for each of these folks that they would place their trust in Jesus and not in their works to save them.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday November 4th from 1300 - 1500
Johnny and Hung were pleased to have Allan joining us today. All of us were given many divine appointments of long chat of which many of apologetic nature to explain the difference between Christianity and other world religion. Without exception, God used both of us to convey the truth about God , His salvation and the Bible teaching while maintaining a lively and friendly two way conversation with people of other faith. For Johnny, he had his first chat with a Buddhist from mainland China for 40 mins, then one after another over 15 minutes chat ending with a pair of Muslim youngsters from Pakistan. Johnny first then taken up by me to have a long chat over 45 minutes. They even asked us to leave our contact so that they can refer some of his Muslim friends to chat with us.
Recap herewith are my seven conversations:
1) Miss Mong åŸï¼Œfrom China ä¸ is a QUT year three student. She admitted she has been brought up as an atheist in China. But ever since she came to Australia to study, she started to have many opportunities to get in touch with all sorts of religion. She once went to the Mormon meeting eager to know more about Jesus. She did not stay at Mormon but attended the local Australian church at Annerley where she lives. With piece meal bit of knowledge about God and Jesus, she was not able to make further meaningful pursue. But the long chat with me today have cleared up all her trivial understanding and was convinced that Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation. I recommended her to go to SIC when the church reopen after rebuilding construction is finished.
2) A Nepalese old man let me walked him across the bridge and have listen a nutshell of the gospel message.
3) A Chinese old woman at the bus stop had initial reluctant to hear the gospel, but God moved her to change heart and let me finish the sharing of the nutshell of the Gospel.
4) An Aussie Career and the old man he was caring passed by. He stop the old man to take tract from us, but God changed his mind to take the tract from me and have a short and brief chat of the gospel message.
5) An Indian old woman with initial reluctant but still let me share the gospel in brief and I let her read the tract at home when the bus came.
6) A Korean Christian man can speak limited Mandarin but no English as he is married to a Chinese wife. I checked his assurance of salvation and he replied correctly to have 100% certainty. But the reasons he could have that certainty was not clearly communicated to me due to limited Mandarin.
7) Two Pakistanis Muslim Tafe students by the name Shani and Muneeb started to have a apologetic debate with Johnny for a long time. I took over as Johnny had to leave earlier. They are very serious and sincere to explore the real truth though they still endeavor to uphold their Islamic faith which they do not have a full understanding either. We leave contact for him to invite more knowledgeable Muslin friend to find out which way is the way.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunny Bank on Wednesday Oct 28, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
Despite 100% certain Severe Storm Warning, Johnny and I still attended to the regular Street Evangelism. Both Andrew and Col were not available. It was good as usual. God gave us chance to have apologetic discussion with people of other faith like Muslim, Buddhism and Atheism. We were just doing ou best to explain the gospel and show them the differences and let them to ponder if their own religion really is capable of addressing same issue of sin like Christianity.
Storm came only after we finished out duty for the day.
Recap below was my battle Log:
1) A young man by the name Jacky å°æ° who is from China大陸, he heard the gospel and claimed he now understand it 明白 . So leave it to God to convict him at His time.
2) An elderly woman from Hong Kong by the name Ko, 高婆 claimed to be a Christian. She asked me to give her my number so that she would call me to pick her up for Sunday service.
3) Ken a Vietnamese of Catholic background, has no assurance but admitted only Jesus is perfect for saving us.
4) Mick a consultant from Herb life. He is of Catholic background but has not attended church for a long long time. He understood the gospel but of course do not have assurance of salvation. It was clarified and he felt convinced.
5) An Indian Atheist with string will against and religion. I walked him across the bridge but he is not humble and open enough to really listen to the gospel message. I anyhow still can maintain a two way communication and we greeted each other an hur later after he finished his errands.
6) A Chinese old woman took the tract but did not stop for chat.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Oct 21, 2020 from 1300- 1500
We were grateful to have Andrew rejoining us on a regular basis at Sunnybank. It was proven that it was a right and wise decision as all of us got many chances to share individually and as a team. In between, we ourselves had time to share experience and fellowship. God is good and was with us all the time all the way.
Meantime, the Mormon missionary from overseas turned up in a group of three. It means more so we have to stand our ground to serve on the street regularly, not giving up ground to the Mormon as much as we can.
Recap below are the conversations I had for the day.
1) Daniel chatted with me some times ago. When asked if he has made up his mind to accept Jesus as his Saviour. He said he has not as he is scare of making the decision because he has no confidence he will sin no more. I clarified with him that Jesus redemptive grace covered the sin we committed before and after we received Christ. And it is God's design to save us by three fold salvation package. Receiving Jesus as Saviour only granted us the identity of God's children again which was done and in effect immediately which has become the past deliverance. It enables us to be under God's sovereign control for gradual life transformation process through the work of the Holy Spirit which represented the ongoing current deliverance until Jesus come again. Then we will receive a new perfect body then representing the future deliverance. Let's pray for Daniel to full understood this and will find no guilt or shame to receive Christ.
2) A Couple boy and girl friends took the took and allowed me to share the gospel to them. It was a pity the bus came a bit too early before I wrapped up. Pray that God will still have His way to follow up on their salvation.
3) A good old man happily took the tract and proudly declared himself a good person. He gave example of his good deeds is to pick up litter on the ground voluntarily. I challenged him with a lot of imperfect sinful thought but he seemed to have been convinced he is all good as such he does not need any god or religions. The bus also came before I can proceed to guide him to have self awareness on the sin he has committed. Pray that God will follow up this case.
4) Philip a fair dinkum Christian that Johnny approached first. When he found we went to the wrong direction and came back passing me. I walked with him to do the diagnosis to assurance of salvation and shared about the three fold salvation package of God.
5) An Indian girl took the tract while she was on the phone. She did read the tract after the call before the bus came.
6) A senior lady from China surprisingly stopped to have a long tract. She tried to excuse by claiming she has Buddhism as her religion. I nevertheless helped her to understand that all religions are good but could not address the issue of sin and there are no sense of punishment of sin. She was convinced and promise to ponder and decide. ä¸å›¯å¤§åª½ä½›æ•™
7) Barack a young man from Congo. He was a bit hesitant to chat as his English level is not good. Nevertheless, I still finished the sharing after we finished walking the bridge.
8) Another Lady from Henan, China also tried to excuse for my approach because she is a Buddhist. But after listening to my sharing, she also admitted the Gospel appeared sensible and logical, then the bus came.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wed Oct 14, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
Praise God that he withheld wind and rain for us to have a dried period of street evangelism ministry at Sunny Bank, despite there was rain all the way when I drove there. We also had Andrew rejoining us today making a team of four including Johnny, Col, Andrew and Hung. God used us to display good team work to supplement each others . It was particularly obvious between Johnny and me. At the end God used us to help out an overseas visiting Chinese lady to find info and the way to have the Covid-19 test enabling her to board the plane departing Oct 5. I actually already shared the gospel to her last week when she was in great worry of losing Wechat for external communication. I gave her words of comfort and directed her to the greater need of salvation. God used someone to help her restored the faulty Wechat account. And led her to meet Johnny then me to help her to find and book Covid-19 testing to enable her to board her flight back to China on Nob 5. During the process, God used me to impressed and reinforced again the imperative need for salvation by every one. I trust she was moved this time by both the message and the action love exhibited by the som many Christians God sent to help her out. Recap below are my others divine appointments today.
1) Madam Pang å½ was born in China but raised in HKG. Lived in Taiwan then migrated to NZ and finally came her. She noticed my HKG accent so volunteer to speak in Cantonese with me. With the common home town, she was very talkative. I manged to drag our conversation back to Gospel and Salvation. Curiously despite of her mixed Christian 基 and Catholic 天 background, she has 100 % assurance of salvation but for a vague reason including the elements of good works. So it was good that I could guide her to understand her 100% assurance of salvation was built on Jesus and Him alone.有確據但ä¸å分清楚, but it was a bit fishy she declined to take a tract. , 定æ„䏿‹¿å–®å¼µ
2) William and Ifun Two students , one a local Aussie another a Malaysia school boy. Both understood but no move to make decisive action to receive Christ immediately.
3) Johnny talked to a BCAC new Christian by the sure name 蘇 who is yet to be baptized. He referred her to me as she is Cantonese speaking.
4) Another anonymous target took the tract , have a chat but decline to leave any name.ä¸é¡˜å‘Šå
5) Madam Chai 柴,from Heibei 河北. Story as shared above.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday October 7, 2020 from 1300 - 1500
We started with only two of us Johnny and Hung, but Col and Allen later joined us to become a team of four. As usual, we stationed at the two sides of the pedestrian foot bridge. Some form of team work did exist under the sovereign control of God. For instance, some one got a tract from one side, showed to us on the opposite side aiming to gain a waiver but often time, God used this a a means for us to stop them to explain on the tract that collected.
Today, God let me encounter many Christians who claimed to have 100% of assurance of salvation but upon checking the reason, it was all wrong basing 100% on the good deeds they have done. This is an alarming sign that many Christian Churches have not provided sufficient biblical teaching to their sheep.
As usual, Johnny and I had near non-stop chances of sharing. I registered 10 divine appointments as recap below: -
1) Kline a local Aussie was in a great hurry but he was polite and kind enough to stop for a chat. I hastily shared with him the nutshell of the Gospel. He showed positive and receptive reaction and was moved to take a serious thought on it though he really had to go. I later crossed shoulder with him while I was doing walking preaching with another woman, he anyway gave me a big grin to show his appreciation.
2) I mistook a Korean as Chinese but found out in time to exchange for an English tract. He was really rushing for some personal matter. But it paved the readiness for me to be more sensitive to differentiate race upon my subsequent approach with Korean really turning up.
3) Ms Sze æ–¯ a very gentle young fair lady from Taiwan å° in quite formal dressing as if she was up for some businesses function. But she stopped without hesitation to spend more than 20 minutes to listen to my gospel sharing and end up feeling overwhelmingly drawn by the message 很投入 that she has heard many times before. But this time it hit her heart and really made her feel convinced to accept Jesus. Praise the Lord.
4) An old lay Mrs Dong董 from Heibei 河北 China looked very worrisome and even lost her sense momentarily stopped and standing in front of me. I asked if she needed help than she came back to her sense and started chatting with me. When I wanted to share gospel with her then she lamented that she has no mood to
listen as her wechat account was locked up because of forgetting her password as such she cannot communicate with her family in china.心煩 I offered to walk her across the bridge and shared with her that losing wechat accessibility is a bad experience but im comparison to losing our place in eternity suffering in hell would be a more serious issues.æ¥è¡Œè†è½. Her mood changed after hearing the good news. The previous Aussie man greeted me with a big smile also amazed her that we can have joy to greet a stranger. So she ended up feeling more relieved and promised to ponder on Jesus's salvation.
5) Then I caught up with two Korean Christian young ladies called Mary and Emily. They disclosed they are Christian as soon as I wanted to share the gospel. Their answered for the first diagnosis question if they have assurance of salvation was 100%, which is spot on. But it was shocking to find out that that 100 % assurance is based on their good deeds. They appeared a bit nervous and wanted to leave with the excuse of hurrying for an appointment. I nevertheless volunteered to walk them for 500 meter to reach the other set of traffic light and tried my best to clarify their mis conception.
6) Rammy , a Taiwan Buddhist lady. She was polite but thought claiming a Buddhist will stop me from talking to her. She was wrong, I had endless inspiration to share with her which eventually convinced her that Christianity is the only way for real salvation and forgiveness of sin. Trying to reach self perfection like what Buddhism uphold is futile and she promised to ponder deeper on what I shared with her.
7) Matt , another local Aussie Christian who again claimed to have 100% of assurance of salvation yet it was all based on inherited identity from Christian family, good service in the church but nothing accredited to the redemptive grace of Jesus. He showed sign of confusion but was humble enough to take in my advice and promise to reflected on his relationship with Jesus Christ.
8) A couples of elderly husband and wife from China Canton walked toward me. The wife walked 10 feet ahead getting passed me and ignored the tract, but her husband took the tract. I shared with him and our conversation got brighten up when we found Cantonese is our common language. With this edge, he showed interest to hear me to share the nutshell of the gospel that I finished just in time before the bus came. 廣æ±è€äººå¤«å©¦ï¼Œå¤«æŽ¥è½
9) Finally Eason turned up and willing to stop for a long chat. His knowledge of thr Bible and understanding of the doctrine of salvation is good as he is member of the Grace Bible Christian Church. He is clear about salvation by grace through faith in Christ and needed to be perfect through God's divine life transformation work through the Spirit. But his assurance of salvation was tainted by his uncertainty if he is a born again one seemingly judging by the Baptism by the Spirit. I shared with him my orthodox thought and emphasized that speaking in tone is never a condition of salvation. He finally felt enlightened to border no more about the sol called born again by the fire of the Spirit. He displayed a very happy face for the grace of God while taking a selfie with me .

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Sep 30 1300 - 1500
Hurray , God called a big team to serve at Sunnybank today. We have the Aussie team of three Col, Allen and Gary stationed at the West side of the Pedestrian foot bridge , then the Chinese team of four , namely Johnny Ryan, Bi Yan and Hung stationed at the East side near SunnyPark. God orchestrated good team work between the two team. Many people had been moved to stop and chat with both team when the went across the bridge. Especially for Chinese whose English is not very good. They can get a Chinese version of Gospel to reinforce what they heard for the English team. Normally mainland Chinese will choose to avoid the Chinese team but more receptive to chat with the Aussie team. Once got contacted, then their unwillingness or resistance will be reduced as such many of them were willing to stop for the 2nd time to have a chat with us in Chinese to reinforce their understanding. Pastor Biyan joined us mid way but appeared very enthusiastic and bold in stopping people fo a chat. Pray that she will be moved and called by the Spirit to become a regular team member for Sunnybank. Ryan joined the team several time before. He may join us before he got a job. May God will be done through our good team work at Sunnybank.
Since I had to leave a bit earlier for a medical appointment. I comparatively had less conversations but three quire long one.
1) Alyson Juana are two young high school students of Grade 12 at a Christian school. When approached they showed that they have head knowledge about Jesus and the Bible and claimed that they
are Christians. But they failed the salvation assurance test having only 70% of certainty to go to heaven. When asked while God let them into His heaven, they could answer correctly that it was all because of Jesus. Then I asked them is there any other factor/reason that they can be allow to enter heaven. They answered no. Then I asked if Jesus is the only reason you are granted eternal Life into heaven, how come they are only 70% certain, not 100% sure? Then they both came to understand that they were wrong and should have professed 100% assurance of salvation. The reason they thought they are still not good enough is the lack of understanding that we have yet to grow and be transformed back to perfection by the work of teh Holy Spirit helping us to bear fruit if the Spirit. But in the interim, we will bound to be not perfect and will fail sometime the temptation of Satan. However, as long as we are all bought back by Christ to reconcile with God, God will guarantee to make us perfect through the journey of Sanctification. The two youngsters, thanked me and left with great joy in their heart.
2) Then Yuki from Mainland China past by waiving the tract she collected from Col and Allen in her hand signaling me that she did not need another chat. But I asked the simple diagnosis questions to prove that she is not yet clear enough about the gospel. I offered to walk her across the bridge and cleared up some misunderstanding and made sure she understood how to get 100% assurance of salvation by just accepting Jesus as her saviour and her Lord of life before we parted our way at the Shopping centre.
3) The third one was éŸ“åˆ who had been contacted by Allen. Again he is still not so clear about the gospel so I repeated the same thing I just gone through with Yuki and Han promised he will take it very seriously to response to the call for repentant and salvation.
Today both Johnny and Gary had numerous chance to have a chat. Ryan was still on his learning curve while Bi Yan already boldly venture into gospel chat with mainly Chinese people which was readily a very good start.
God is good and almighty in term of execution of His Redemption Project and Kingdom Project through the undeserved vessels like us all.
