Operation 513 Battle Log for Toowong on Dec 21, 2021 from 1330 to 1500
Today Johnny was away on vacation with family, so only Winnie and Hung were reporting duty on our roster Street gospel outreach ministry at Toowong. The weather was scorching hot as usual. It did affect the mood and temper of the gospel targets. They either hid under the shade in crowd that we can hardly break into them to have a chat, or they simply had no patience to get into any conversation. By God grace is always sufficient, both of us still managed to have many genuine and fruit bearing chat as recap below.
By the way, I want to make a statement here to all the audience of this face book post whether you know me or not. We are a group of dedicated born again Christians that care more for the command of Jesus to preach the gospel to end of the world or in effect to people of all Nations. So we certainly will grasp hold of any chances God opened for us and in the meantime within the rule of the Government body. Whenever the requirement to wear mask is back on, for all situation or for only specific conditions, we comply to it 100%. So, to day we wore masks all the time and most of our gospel target also wore masks because it is a mandatory requirement for people who are on the public transport or even waiting at the bus stop. But for the evening outreach at King George Square, on Dec 17 & 19, mask is not required as this is an outdoor environment. Not a single person wore mask at KGS the whole night. So please be rest assured we are professional street gospel outreach warriors. We submit to God’s calling showing no fear towards the threat of the so called “Virus” and in the meantime, we will abide with the rule set by the Qld Heath.
1. First a fat guy but just had time to hand out the tract with a brief 20 sec nutshell of the gospel telling the answer that no one can go to heaven unless you are perfect.
2. Pierce a French young guy ‘who is not a Christian but agreed fully and whole heartedly he needs Jesus.
3. Jack was a Christian, possibly of Catholic background only have 60% of assurance of salvation. I showed him the picture Jesus died on the cross for our sin and asked him did he think it is worthy of only 60% of Jesus work in giving us salvation by grace and eternal life, then he came to his sense and fully understood after I supplement the three-fold salvation as per 2 Cor 1:10.
4. Peter was another non believer but also showed overwhelming receptiveness towards gospel.
5. An Indian was on the phone and I waited patiently for him to finish with the phone conversation. But then he rudely rejected me with the excuse of keeping a social distance. According to Jesus, just shake off the dust of our shoes and let go of this stone heart waiting for another Chance in God’s timing.
6. Trisha the Bangladesh pregnant wife has built up good friendship with me despite she is an Hindu but readily showed receptiveness to the gospel shared with him in the pat weeks. She will be leaving for Sydney on 11/1/2021. She asked for prayers for her whole family as if she is a Christian already.
7. I met a die heart Mainland girl rejecting God and the Gospel.
8. Emma was one of the UQ girls I last caught up at the bus stop. She appreciated my cae to move her into the shade first before I started sharing the Gospel which was interrupted by the bus. But she happily took a tract and promised to read it seriously.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Dec 15, 2021 from 1300 to 1500
The Weather turned cooler today and we had Gary, Johnny and Hung teaming up for the regular street outreach. Andrew also came to day to hand out tract and we had good fellowship in Christ to support each other’s ministry. My gospel targets were predominantly Chinese/ Asia with only one African girl and a local Aussie, otherwise the rest were mainly Chinese with one Thai girl and two Vietnamese. I continue to use the Christmas theme of Jesu birth to become a perfect man to die for us in order to bring us real eternal inner peace with God and in Christ. This can best be represented by the oldest English carol – God rest ye merry, Gentleman or ladies. The word “merry” is an old English word meaning not just as happy but a kind of power from Christ that can bring us peace and real joy living a free life without any more fear.
Meantime, God also led Hung to have special encounter with a Kairos graduate with her boyfriend Richard Liu before the outreach and then meeting with Allan Li after the outreach . May God’s plan and Will be done.
Recap below was the Battle Log of Hung.
1. A Mask woman agreed with my sharing about the need to be free of fear.
2. A modern lady was too proud to even listen
3. A Vietnamese woman claimed to have difficult to communicate in either Chinese or English, but ended up still taking all the Tracts I offered and seemed to understand the core of the gospel message I shared in English.
4. Sia from Sierra Leone is a Christian with clear understanding of the gospel message and full assurance of salvation despite she is attending a Catholic Church. She chatted with Johnny previously, so she only greeted Johnny without any conversation. But I was moved to have a long chat with her to check on her status of faith which to my delight is good and accurate.
5. I had a brief chat with Vietnamese man as his bus came quite quick
6. Another Chinese lady with mask felt ok to have a long chat with me and seemingly receptive to the gospel and in same consensus that living without free is the reason we have peace, joy and hope which is represented by the word Merry in the olden form of English.
7. A Thai girl Fiona looks like a local Aussie who listened to my gospel message very attentively and appeared very receptive. So I was a bit surprised to find out she is a Thai girl form a Buddhism country.
8. Wayne is a very lowly living guys with a shirt having torn and broken by great area but fixed with many safety pins. His situation seemed even worse than many homeless people and he obvious is with mental health issues that normal people will avoid contacting him. I met him two weeks ago and he recognised me and remembered me assuring he is a good person but still needs God to make him clean and sinless. I took a full body photo to let you see he is a happy guy with Christ despite wearing the worse broken dress.
9. Chen a young man who was a very humble listener and took in the gospel message very well
10. Wayne the last young man I met was also very attentive and receptive to the gospel.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Toowong on Tuesday Dec 14, 2021 from 1330 to 1500
It was a scorching hot afternoon. The three of us assembled for opening prayers and take a group selfie with the Toowong Village Tower as background. Not sure if the Uni semester is over yet or not. But there was less people flow because of the extreme heat especially around the Bus stop area with all the radiant heat dissipated from the concrete cement ground making the bus stop as hot as the furnace. My iphone under the sun had got overheated only in 5 minutes time when I was chatting with Hishina that it became dormant until it was cooled down to normal level. Because of the heat, it was more difficult to get people to have patience to have any long chat under the high noon sun. Nevertheless, as a messenger of God, it was not up to us to choose the timing to do His work. And God grace is always sufficient for us to deliver our mission that God had planned for us in His strength. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung.
1. May and another girl took a tract from Johnny, but decline to chat. I anyway still felt urged to approach them but in a lighter way by greeting them “Happy Christmas” It triggered the question why Christmas greeting is always “Merry” but not happy. Such ice breaking question of course earned my way to explain and share the real ancient meaning of “Merry” from the oldest English Carol “God rest ye merry, Gentleman let nothing you dismay. Remember Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day” So Merry bears the ancient English and biblical meaning of power – a power as a gift from God to deliver us from eternal death and to acquire true inner peace and rest in Christ. They were glad to learn this old meaning of Merry from me and then one of the girls May disclosed she is a Christian already. I checked for her assurance of salvation which is only 50%, then I showed her the cartoon with Jesus being crucified on the cross fencing off the hell of fire to spare our life, I asked her did it mean you only have 50% of trust in the work of Jesus dying for us all the sinners. Then she immediately came to her sense that she should have 100% certainty. I supplement the free fold deliverances as per 2 Cor 1:10 to make her understand, we are still far from perfect right now after becoming a Christian for so many years. But God has already promised to make us perfect again by the work of the Holy Spirit. May is from Solomon Island as such a Christian background Islander. She thanks for my chat with her.
2. Hishina, is the Bangladesh lady who accompanied her husband to do study at UQ. I ask on a accompanying visa, she should not be able to work but she is in her work uniform working in Toowong. She then explained she is already a resident because her husband has got a global talent title as such they are welcome to come to live, study and even stay her as a resident. She showed great appreciation and respect to our work to share the gospel to her and every stranger on the street. She missed me last week and was happy to see me again and she told me she will go to Sydney in January as her husband has got a part time job there. I on the hand congratulate her but meantime taking us of this new situation to appeal to her that Global talent title or recognition is good yet the heavenly citizen is even more precious in eternity. I also share about the amazing work of God using us the least one in Christ to help out a venerable family of three to apply for permanent stay in Australia. She was moved to see God’s glory in such ordinary thing. Pray that I can still meet her before she moves on to Sydney.
3. The I approached a big Christian guy whom Johnny had just had a chat. I simply asked him if he knew why Christmas greeting alone use the word “Merry” He of course had got no idea and was glad to know the answer.
4. The I approached too school girl of younger age by the name of Emily and Hannah. Using both Merry Christmas gig and the normal good person tract to share the gospel. Obviously. May was very fascinated and showed great interest but not Hannah. God will have His election and followed up work on these two lovely girls.
5. Then I talked to an Old English lady who was left alone after arrival of several buses. I used again the Merry Christmas gig and drawn her interest. She is a Christian but with no assurance of salvation. It was a pity her bus then turned up and took away my chance for further diagnosed questions.
6. My final target was a big Indian lady with Tattoo. She showed no interest to know anything about Jesus, not to mention the reason why Christmas alone is greeted with the word “merry”. All I can do is to remember her in prayer.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Dec 8, 2021 from 1300-1500
I was not able to join the Street Outreach to day as I had a day surgery at Sunnybank Private Hospital. Johnny originally had arranged Winne to come to partner with him. Yet he suddenly was not able to come for some personal matter. However, Winnie was already half way to Brisbane. So Winnie for the first time did outreach by herself while her husband went to do shopping. She encountered many rejections, but God was graceful enough to let her had 5 gospel conversations.
As for me, I compensated my inability to do the normal Wednesday Sunnybank outreach by sharing gospel to my hospital room mate Mr He was of same age with me and had business connection in Hong Kong. He is from Heng Zhou æå·žand been joining his daughter for 4 years. His English is still not good enough to communicate. So, an interpreter was arranged for his day surgery, but after he was released to the patient room, he was on his own. Since we shared the room I could heard him struggle in communicating with the nurse behind the separating curtain, so I volunteered to be his interpreter. With this relationship building block, the next day, means to day, God used me to have a long chat to share first my testimony then the gospel. He exclaimed to praise with admiration that God is a real living God that saved me from the choke of pride of today but be humbled to be His servant. His whole family was not yet Christian, only his daughter has Christian friends to invite them to church. So, I encouraged him to think seriously the message I shared and read the good person tract home to become the spiritual leader of his family leading them to follow his track to receive Christ.
So God is good creating all sort of Kairos moment for us to share the gospel in the most natural way. In Hindsight, it was not bad to be detain to stay in the hospital overnight with very good catering meal and the caring service of the nurses.

Today was rainy in the morning but it turned completely sunny in the afternoon. Winnie could not join us to day as she had to join the GCCCC Church function to meet and welcome the new Pastor of the Cantonese Congregation who is from Hong Kong. So just Johnny and Hung were teamed up to do our regular street evangelism. Johnny again decided to switch venue to the front entrance of Toowong Village on Sherwood Street to let the Spirit to guide us to stop the passer by on the street. As previously experienced, it is a more challenging task to stop someone who are mostly in a hurry. By the grace of God, Johnny still got a handful of conversations. As for me, I choose the approach of putting on my shoes of the peace of Gospel to get permission to walk and talk with the gospel target to share them the gospel with results all in the hand of God. Recap below is the Battle Log for Hung: -
1. A group of three youngsters believed to be freshly graduated grade 12 students walking pass on their way to a job appointment. Johnny gave a tract to them and one boy took it but kept walking on. I gave a tract to another person and asked if I could walk with them for a short while before they needed to cross the traffic light down at the end of the Sherwood Road. They were nice and cheerful guys paying genuine attention to the sharing of Gospel and giving me positive acknowledgement to the significance of this message for their eternal existential well being. They needed to wait for a shirt while at the traffic light, so I was able to made a wrap up appeal to take this message seriously and make their spirit guided decision. They all cheerfully nodded to do so.
2. When I returned to the standing pole position of Johnny. I was able to get a Middle East Man with a Muslim style of beard to accept the tract. I intended to do the same walk and talk but he need to enter into the office building for work. But at least I pass on to him the requirement of God to call us to be perfect that can only be done first by allowing Jesus to redeem us from the slavery of sin to become a free soul in Christ that is right for God to start His life transformation work.
3. Then God led me to pick up a lady from China who did not mind to let me walk and talk with her. I can sensed the gospel message was new to her though on the other hand I can feel that she is trained under atheist CCP so she was taking a cautious stance to just listen and showed no interaction on the surface. In her heart she was willing to listen and to know more about Jesus. At the end, I walked the longest distance of the day to escort her to a far away bus stop. My sharing was finished just in time when her bus came at the same time we get to that bus stop. She di not leave me her name but God knows it all.
4. Finally, as soon as I got back to our street outreach outpost, God led me to catch up with an Australian born Vietnamese lady called Tammy. She was also very welcoming and accommodating to let me share the gospel to her. She appeared listening and absorbing all message with a more open mind than the Chinese lady a moment ago. Her destination was unknowingly very far reaching. So I let her go at yet another traffic light and bid her good bye but encouraging her to make up her faith decision when she has time to stay calmly in per private quiet time.

Christmas is in the air! How can I tell? Ballantynes department store have set up their Christmas themed display across their shop windows (pictured) and I’ve noticed a significant uptick in people in the central city coming to see it! Not only that, Ballantynes have set up a barrier around the display, which ultimately pushes people walking past further out and closer to my gospel nets! So, for the time being, I’ve switched my gospel tracts to a Christmas themed one - and I’m noticing that more are being received than usual. Please pray that they would be read, and it would lead to the salvation of souls for the glory of God alone!
Obviously I get ignored a lot while out on the streets trying to witness. I often pray, wondering if anyone will stop at all. And yet I’m often pleasantly surprised in the wonderful gospel encounters the Lord provides.
One Sunday afternoon, I had a large group of teens go past. I was able to semi engage some of them as they walked past, but they pretty much ignored me. Yet, the last young man in the group did stop to take one. He gave me about 30 seconds of his time, and I was able to challenge him on the real reason he is rejecting the God he knows exists: he wants to be his own god. I could tell he understood me - and he had never considered it before. He took a tract, thanked me and went to catch up with his group.
Well, low and behold, about 30 minutes later, I offer a tract to a kid in another group going by. She stopped and accepted it - she wanted to talk, and then I noticed her friends start to gather around me. And then I realised it was the same group of kids! The young man I talked to was at the back.
It was a set up! I could tell, they had come to pick on the Christian. But they didn’t get what they were expecting. They were initially friendly, but I instinctively flicked to presuppositional apologetics, wanting to challenge the basis for their worldview. It wasn’t something they had heard before, and they started to drink it in before realising the implications.
Sadly, at this point a streetie, seeing the large group I was talking to, wanted to interrupt and inserted his hatred for God - it changed the whole tone of things, and the kids picked up on the hatred of the streetie. And their issue was homosexuality. The conversation was over, sadly, and many of the kids started leaving - but one of them was gay, and wanted to have a go at me. I was faithfully in saying that homosexuality is a sin, and yet I preceded that by saying I’m not to hate anyone - in fact I love you. I love you enough to tell you the truth.
Once the kids had left, I was able to engage the streetie - I managed to calm him and challenge him before he moved on as well.
Before that, though, I had a great chat with a doctor who worked at the hospital. I think he appreciated the fact that I was wearing a mask. He heard the law and the gospel.
Susan (pictured) arrived and we decided to set up the flip chart. We moved further down the mall for this. Again, we were ignored a lot, and then a young man decided to come over and wanted to do the good person test. It was a fairly standard conversation. When we were discussing the false ways to heaven, he started talking about confession - and I flagged him as a Catholic. I was able to explain why confession wouldn’t help him get to heaven, when he flicked to his good deeds - not a surprise! I then had the joy of explaining Jesus. I could see he was deeply challenged. It was at this point that I asked if he was a Catholic - to my surprise he said he is Exclusive Brethren! Although I shouldn’t have been surprised, as when you boil down all religions except Biblical Christianity they say: “be good” (I’ve talked to Catholics that I thought were Muslim). I became very frank with this young man, trying to jolt him from the broad road he is on.
The following Friday was amazing! I arrived at the Bridge of Remembrance end of Cashel feeling quite down, and yet I prayed and set up my flip chart. A couple of other local evangelists were there, and so I was briefly talking to one of them when I suddenly turned around and saw two people intensely studying the front page of the good person test! I promptly engaged them and ended up having one of the best gospel conversations I’ve had in a very long time. They were extremely open, and it was as if God had been preparing them in advance for the chat with specific recent events. I went through all 19 pages of the flip chart with them, and the chart correctly anticipated the misunderstandings of the gospel they had and really brought insight to them. At the end of the conversation, they even hugged me! They left with tracts, and I felt bereft as they went. I wanted to wrap them up and bring them to church and disciple them! And yet, that is not to be my privilege. God must save them first, and if so, he will lead them to the church!
It was at this stage that I was able to pray with others of the team who had arrived. But as we were praying, another guy walked right up to my flip chart and started engaging! I peeled away from the prayer time to talk with him, and we ended up having a very long conversation! Pretty much to the end of the outreach (there was only 15 minutes left). This guy was different, more resistant, and yet he really wanted to talk. We didn’t go through the flip chart like I did with the previous couple - it was just a conversation, with me trying to gently plow and sow as I could. At one point, I was temporarily distracted with another person, and when I turned back, the guy I was talking to had gone… except for his shoes! (Pictured!) Haha, I knew if his shoes were still there he would be back. Low and behold, he had decided to go to the nearby river Avon to cool his feet! Judging his personality, I decided to recommend John Byan’s - Pilgrim's Progress to him - he diligently took note of this on his tablet before moving on with a Christmas tract.
A very encouraging outreach!
Thank you so much for your continued prayer for the Operation 513 team in Christchurch and beyond. We are so dependent on God, without Him, all our labour is in vain.

Operation 513 Battle Log of Sunnybank Outreach on Wednesday Dec 1, 2021 from 1300 to 1500
It was still a rainy and gloomy day, but the gospel warriors from different ministry groups assembled again there at Sunnybank to serve God together shining for Jesus with joy and gratefulness. In Christ, we are still one spiritual force under the banner of Christ and in the strength of the Holy Spirit. Basically, Johnny, Gary and Hung kept staying around at the bus stop. It was the grace of God to have restrained the rain as such none of us were bothered by the incessant but only drifting rain.
Today, I could see again good team work orchestrated by God through the Spirit. A couples of gospel targets having rejected one of my team mates but the Spirit still urged me to get connected and had a good chat with positive effect. First was Trevor and Aborigine originally from Stradbroke Island, and then Miss Hung from China. God also connect a number of Cantonese speaking people especially a couple from Hong Kong that I can use the unique Hong Kong situation to find analogy for sharing the Gospel that was more appealing to them. Recap below were the Battle Log of Hung:
1. Trevor was approached by Gary. They only had a brief chat. But the Spirit inspired me he should be an Aborigine people that I had burden to minister through my past AMOS experience, and he might have knowledge about Charmaine I met last week. So, I approached him and it was bingo to find out that they are really remotely related but Trevor Knew Charmaine’s family well. Then I was able to cut into the Aboriginal’s culture treating all things with spirits to start the chat box about the genuine Spirit of God, and thence the Gospel. In brief, Trevor turned very responsive and receptive as obviously he could see there is an invisible hand behind to get us connected.
2. Then I caught up with a man by the name Chang å¼µfrom Taiwan. He stood a short distance away from the Bus stop in the rain with an umbrella, possibly intending to avoid us. But the Spirit still at work to connect us for a reasonably good chat sharing the full Gospel and getting his promise to seriously consider to accept Christ.
3. After then, I just saw Miss Hung(æ´ª) with a big metallic cross pendulum neck lace yet she bluntly rejected Johnny. The Spirit made me curious about the weird scene that someone with a cross rejected to talk about the cross. I laughingly challenge that lady and miraculously she did feel offended and even empower me to share her the full gospel. The Spirit also enlightened me to use a new analogy of the germless requirement of an operation theatre for demonstrating what is meant by perfection as a condition to go to heaven. No germ can be allowed into the operation theatre or else it will lead to infection and death of the patience. Likewise, God cannot allow sin creeping into heaven as it will eventually infected and corrupted everyone. This illustration of the gospel seemingly appealed to and convinced thus possibly atheist lady and she willingly took a tract to ponder the message again back home.
4. Shara is a fair dinkum Christian lady from India with 100% assurance of salvation. Though she appeared a bit not so welcoming for a chat as if she knows everything and did not need a stranger to teach him about gospel and salvation. She now attends Hillsong which made me wonder if her sound doctrinal teaching is really from there or her previous mother church.
5. Stubby was again an India and she was all open to hear my sharing though not paying full attention. Seed anyhow had been sowed and pray that it will settle down in good soil that will bear fruit in His time.
6. Then I was Rejected by a China man who was indulged in playing game. God knows when he would wake up from all these secular indulgences.
7. Then I approached a Chinese couple with the man appeared very talkative and even a bit argumentative. Because we communicated in Cantonese so it made our chat more causal with less tension. Gospel message was shared with a bit of apologetic exchanges with the man to let him know the gospel is truth that cannot be distorted and downplayed by human ignorant and uninformed view.
8. Wayne is a very lowly living guys with a shirt having torn and broken by great area but fixed with many safety pins. His situation seemed even worse than many homeless people and he obvious is with mental health issues that normal people will avoid contacting him. I did have initial hesitant to avoid him but the Spirit still moved me to approached him and I was surprised to find out that he is actually very approachable as if an innocent kid who can find joy and happiness easily in small thing in his life. He was overjoying to make a screaming laugh when I said he definitely is a good man wanted by God and again I use the germless requirement of Operation theatre to make him understand God want him to be clean and sinless. He joyfully accepted God’s the invitation to accept Jesus as his Saviour. Hallelujah and amen.
9. Finally, I caught up with two HongKongers by the sure names of Yuen and Lam. We had a long chat starting with sharing about the Hong Kong situation that had raised common concern amongst all Hong Kongers. God moved me to share my life testimony how to be humbled by God from a once successful IT professional to a sidelined nobody and how my anger against God not protecting the democratic movement in China that was ended by a massacre turned out to be an avenue for me to be found by God in UK. As after all those tragedies, how I was led to Christ in Manchester, UK and became a pastor and more so a Gospel warrior. They both took in what I shared and promised to take it serious about their eternal destiny in the hands of God.

Operation 513 battle Log for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 30, 2021 from 1330 to 1500
It was a rare rainy day street outreach at the bus stop. In theory, the impact should not be that great as we can preach the gospel under the cover of the bus stop. But in effect, there was much less people flow simply because of the rain deterring a lot of people to leave home for shopping etc. Anyway, God still provided us with the right number of people to minister to. I think I had the least number of chat as I always gave chance to Johnny and Winnie my two team mates to keep them fully occupied first. Recap below was my Battle Log.
1. First, I caught up with Ishina a pregnant woman from Bangladesh. She came to accompany her husband to do UQ study while herself run a Kiosk shop. She was very friendly and inviting for chat even we had approached her many times before. She even mistaken that we met last week but we actually were at Indooroopilly. I just spent time to know more about her but meantime, chipped in gospel message again to reinforce the idea that good person will go to hell like those bad guy as God’s requirement for Heaven is perfect. It was easy to get consensus with people of all races and all religions that we are good but far from perfect. So, it is logical to establish that as a good person, we still have to accountable for those imperfect elements of our life. Our conversation was also meant to be heard by another Aussie girl that Winnie had finished sharing the gospel as a measure of reinforcement. Ishina bid good bye when the bus arrived and said see us next week. So thanks God for being able to establish this sort of friendly relationship with Gospel targets for continuous follow up work.
2. Then I was led to chat with Yolanda an Aussie girl of Catholic background. But her foundation of faith was not biased or polluted by traditional Catholic wrong teaching. She has an active worshiping life style to know God and maintaining a close devotional relationship with God. When asked the diagnosed questions, she shared that she once also had doubt about her assurance of salivation as it was natural to feel inadequacy after conversion. But after positive and active Christian walk by faith through grace. She is now convinced that she has 100% assurance of salvation as it was all the work of Jesus. I followed up on checking her view point about those wrong Catholic old teaching that Mary was born perfect and without sin as such she was near God if not equal to God that deserves our worship and prayer. She is completely in disagreement with this view. I reinforced her understanding by citing why Jesus had to be born by Virgin birth and to show that Mary was just an ordinary woman yet elected to be the earthly mother of Jesus by God’s Sovereign power and plan. It was delighted to note that many contemporary Catholic are embracing Biblical truth despite they have not chosen to leave the Catholic camp. Actually, Yolanda did attend protestant church that is nearer to where she lives. It was just the factor of accustoming to childhood brought up that she once remained in the Catholic church, yet she has more Christian friends from the protestant camp than Catholic background people.
3. Then I caught u with Allan briefly, just in time for a brief sharing of the nutshell of the gospel before his bus arrived. He was very opened to gospel message.
4. Finally, I caught up with a very shy school boy lacking of confident to socialize. He initially did not want to chat using weak hearing as an excuse. I took some ice breaking measure to make him feel relax and then he anyway finished hearing the full gospel. After that, he told me he is a Christian, but did not want to tell me the name of his school and even his own name. I did not press on for this but tried to check if he has got assurance of salvation. He again did not feel comfortable to respond, so I simply explain to him what is assurance of salvation and why it is so important that all Christians should understand and be assured of this or else, it will give foot hole to Satan to give us a fatal attack, wavering out week foundation of faith in Christ.

The seventh and final day for Schoolies 2021 has finished. It was forecast for a thunderstorm to hit during the outreach, but the team prayed asking God to hold off the rain. It didn’t rain until we were walking back to the car. God had graciously answered the prayer and we were able to praise Him for doing so!
Another prayer was for God to bring any final people along that He wanted us to speak with. This was probably answered many times, but one exciting way was with Aaliyah. Her friends were in a chat with the team when she approached and noted that she was angry with God for allowing suffering in this world.
This was taken as a moment to sympathise that there have been times of great sadness due to pain recently but then the point was made that God has a purpose for our lives. Aaliyah of her own thoughts said, “Well I suppose God takes people when He feels they have finished what He sent them here for, not as a punishment to those around them!”. She paused and said, “I don’t hate God anymore!”
This was then taken as an opportunity to make Christ known, talking about how God isn’t in the wrong, but we are, as we have rebelled against Him. She was very sober as she talked through this. She reflected on, they ways she had acted in hatred toward God through her life.
She then heard of Christ and was encouraged to consider the seriousness of her eternity and to place her hope in Him!
It was a wonderful end to the week!

The fifth day of Schoolies rained most of the day but was dry for the outreach and God provided some wonderful conversations!
One conversation worth noting was with Nate. He proclaimed to be an agnostic, who lived as if there was no God and yet said he only believed that which he could prove. Firstly, time was taken to demonstrate that this position was dishonest as his actions demonstrated that he lived as though God doesn’t exist. This meant that he does hold a position he cannot support.
This was demonstrated through showing that he has no reason to believe that order can come from chaos, life from non-life, something from nothing, rules without a rule maker, information without and intelligence and more. At each instance he tried to suggest that he was neutral and couldn’t know so he acted as if there was no God. This was pointed out to not be neutrality but ultimately a commitment to being his own god.
Nate acknowledged that God’s existence would disrupt his ability to live for himself and was challenged at that point with God’s law and the seriousness of being God’s enemy. He then tried to undermine God’s rules, his accountability and ultimately God’s own revelation of Himself in Christ.
It was clear that prior to this conversation he’d gotten away with the half answers he’d given but into the conversation as the heat was turned up and his inconsistency and sinfulness was shown he ended up wanting to head off without hearing of the true solution.
May God work in his heart, to draw him away from idolatry to Christ!
